I don't think I'll be updating this LJ as much as I have been before, mostly because a.) I think I really need to start cutting back on the amount of time I'm online, b.) nothing all that interesting has been going on lately, and c.) I'm starting to go through one of these things where I start to wonder why the hell I even have an LJ in the first place, and what I ought to be doing with it.  It always happens once in a while, and it'll pass, but......yeah.  I'll still be around quite a bit, and I'll still be commenting and all that, but I won't update as much until I get things sorted out.  :/

So a few days ago I heard the good news that Portal was being offered for free -- and available for Macs.  So I tried downloading it -- only to find out Steam wouldn't work on my computer because I have 10.4.11, and I needs to run on at least a 10.5.  BULL.  SHIT.  DX  But, see, I don't play video games all that much, but I heard good things about this one so I really wanted to try it, and goddammit I wasn't going to pass up on free stuff!  So I got myself a bootleg/pirated/illegal copy of 10.5.whatever, and then bought a 2-pack of dual-layer DVD+Rs online so I could burn the disk image of 10.5 on one of them, and then install it so I can get Steam to work (and Google Chrome, since I want to try that and Firefox has been pissing me off lately, but alas it won't work on my current OS as well).

.............Yes, guys, I am willing to buy stuff just so I can get free stuff and get it to work.  I haven't been on vacation for a week, and already my common sense and critical thinking abilities are impaired.  8DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Oh well.  It only cost $8 (with shipping), and I'm going to put that other disc to good use anyway.  It's all good.
