CURRENT JAMS:

The Jam -- "Going Underground"
This week has gone all right, all things considered. The Enviro Econ problem set got handed in, but not without its problems: the evening before it was due, our prof sent us an e-mail specifying how to submit the problem set -- after our group had determined a way to organize it ourselves. And the way he specified was, let's just say, a bit difficult to do considering the kinds of things we had to do to solve the problems. And then he sends us another e-mail around 4 AM that night telling us that, oops, one part of the problem set should be handed in via e-mail, and not handed in as a hard copy. Okay, okay, I understand being forgetful about this sort of thing, but SERIOUSLY WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS B\ And saying in class today flat out that you're not giving an answer key to the problem set, making us go to your office hours in order to find out what we did wrong, without saying why? *headdesk*
The Japanese skit was today; our group did a sketch involving a dysfunctional family who wins the lottery, only to fall apart arguing and fighting when trying to decide what to do with it (and then finding out they didn't actually win the lottery after all). At least two other groups involved aliens of some sort (we learned the word for "space alien" for some reason -- this is the same textbook series that included the words for "hangover" and "sexual offender," among other classy, classy words XD), and another was basically sick, twisted, cracktastic fanfiction for some of our textbook's characters. 83 Considering we as a group didn't practice all that much, 1) I still managed to remember all my lines, and 2) I think we totally kicked ass. :DDDDDDDDDDD
Here's a schedule of Things I Need to Do over the next week or so:
( THE WEEK FROM HELL )
In other news: the cards have been bought! :D They're a tad cheesy, but they're not schmaltzy at all (they're blank right now, so that helps) so I think y'all will survive. ;-) I'll try to write them out sometime this weekend and send them out sometime next week.
I'll probably be going to bed early tonight, because I'm a bit tired and I need to get up earlier than I normally do to get this stats project over and done with. There are things going on campus tonight, because it is the "last weekend before exams" after all, but there's much less than normal, and I'm not interested in any of it anyway. I've been meaning to start research for that huge IEP paper tonight, but I'm not sure whether or not that'll happen.
Finally, this week's song. It might be a little too AOR for some, but it's the freakin' Go-Betweens, so their opinion doesn't matter:
