Quick life update:

--It turns out that I do have work tomorrow and Wednesday, and considering what I'm supposed to be doing, I am definitely not looking forward to it.  But it's something to do, I guess?  :PPP

--I've fallen behind on all the reading that I've been doing -- as in, I haven't been reading at all the past few days.  Oops.  DX  I'm hoping work will get me back into the swing of things.  I have, however, gotten to episode 53 of LoGH yesterday, so I'm pretty sure I can finish it within the next couple of weeks.  I still haven't gotten around to A:tLA yet, and I've been meaning to check out that BBC miniseries Sherlock that I keep hearing about, so I'll get around to that soon enough.

--I'm also supposed to start working toward the driver's license this week, with taking the written test and scheduling the driving test for sometime later this month.  This means actually having to study, which will cut down on the time I'd have to do the other things I want.  :B

--I've mentioned this before, and I hate repeating myself but it bears mentioning again: apparently I'm supposed to be getting a new laptop this week as well.  Which......I don't really see the need for, since the one I have works perfectly fine and there's nothing wrong with it at all (it gets slow sometimes, but that's just because I'm running out of hard drive space and I have the bad habit of having too many things open at once, not because it's getting old -- it's only three years old, after all).  The reasoning behind getting one is that the warranty has run out, and considering the mishaps that have happened to this one (hard drive dying in '08, fan and battery getting replaced last year), it's just too risky to keep on using it.  Also, considering my sister is turning 13 this month, it has apparently been decided that she can have her own computer so that she can look at porn use the Internet without having to use my parents' computer upstairs, so they want to give her my laptop and have me get a new and improved one.  So okay, fine, I don't see this as fully necessary, but I'm cool with it.

The thing is, I'm looking at getting another Mac, because a.) I like Macs (though I'm no die-hard fan -- those people just scare me D:), mostly because it's much easier for me to work with them and because I grew up with them, and b.) my external hard drive is formatted to Macs, which means if I got a Windows system, it would mean reformatting the drive and erasing everything on it, which is major Do Not Want™.  But apparently there's a special going on for students where you can get a laptop at a discounted price, along with a "free" 8GB iPod Touch.  And there's another deal going on where you can also get a "free" printer as well.  Never mind that I already have a 30GB iPod (that I hardly use), and a printer that I hardly used because I prefer using the campus printers whenever I can.  So I'll see what I can do to talk my parents into not making me get these things as well -- because why would I ever get anything I'm never going to use, even if it's free?  (Unless I can sell them on campus or something....)

--Because gingeynary has convinced me: Pluto/Triceratops = my new OTP.  XD

--So I recently found out about the Mild-Mannered Shipper, and, well.......this totally needs to happen in Transformers fandom.  Or any fandom, for that matter.  If I had any experience in Photoshop whatsoever, I'd totally make banners of my own, but.......uh, someone else can do them, right?  8D
