Time that you enjoyed wasting is never wasted.

Been feeling very apathetic and not motivated to do much of anything lately. I've been trying to read more and follow the Iran situation and get outside more often and catch up on some anime I've been interested in, but I've just been so tired and ... blah. It's a combination of not sleeping well (no "episodes," but more a case of "I can't fall asleep no matter what I do"), having the sudden realization that "OMG 20-25% of my life has already passed me by and I will probably never amount to anything I'll be proud of and the sun will just consume the earth in a gazillion years anyway and baaaaaaawwwwwwwwww," dealing with ennui (more so than usual, anyway), and what happens when you haven't been following the Iran implosion as closely as you did before and you come back to a shit-ton of commentary and little news stories and you've become emotionaly inured to all the horrible horrible stuff going on anyway and all you're waiting for is somthing big to happen like Ahmadinejad resigining or the "Islamic Republic" actually collapsing. Basically, I've just hit a low point -- I'll be fine, thank you. :D

Fortunately, akuma_river over at ontd_political has been doing a great job of posting daily posts with videos and links to all the Iran-related articles from the previous day. And because today (18th of Tir) is the tenth anniversary of an anti-reformist crackdown on student protesters in Tehran University, we've seen the first big protests in over a week, a good sign the Green Revolution isn't over yet.  I'll just link to the posts she's been doing, because now I don't have to do any linkdumps myself:

I'll post my "review" of Watchmen (the comic, not the movie) later today or tomorrow -- I guess I've spent enough time mulling it over in my head.  =3
