vlad and friend boris presents 'Song for Sarah' for mrs. Palin
About, say, 98% of the time I don't find YouTube videos that funny. This? Is totally an exception. XD
Trans AM - Futureworld
A funny, cheap music video from the band Trans Am. I haven't heard a lot of their songs yet, but from what I heard they sound amazing. (One of these days, I should probably post links to all my favorite music videos, because there's some awesome shit out there that just isn't getting watched. :D)
Here comes the 'S' word
Where's the 'real' John McCain?
America's fear of big government
Three excellent articles by a BBC reporter following the McCain campaign. I can't think of a better, more concise defense against the completely irrational "Obama is a socialist/commie/pinko/Marxist!" pseudo-arguments out there. It's a bit late, considering it's the day before the election, but I cannot stress just how extremely important these ideas are.
What the Public Doesn't Get About Climate Change
The title says it all. Oh, and if anyone is reading this, go do yourself a favor and don't believe the bullshit the global warming deniers and conspiracy theorists and so-called "skeptics" are saying. Look, we might not have every single fucking piece of evidence that completely proves it's happening, and that we're causing it, and that there are a lot of kinks that need to be worked out in the study of the climate, but you know what? All the evidence suggests it's real, and it's more urgent than most of us believe. If this were really a hoax, then this would be taken as seriously by everyone as creationism, UFOs, and beliefs that the Apollo moon landings were a hoax and that 9/11 was an inside job. I might not have every single fucking answer, and I don't believe the climate crisis spells doom for us all, but the fact that we don't know what will happen when carbon levels in the atmosphere get higher and higher makes it necessary for us to do something about it now.
Sarah Palin Got Pranked
If you haven't seen this yet, see it now. Please. For your own sanity, and everyone else's. :P
Sunday Before the Day
The key line here is, "Cynicism is what passes for insight among the mediocre." I don't think there's anything truer out there.
And last but not least:
Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt // William Howard Taft slash fan fiction.
It's so utterly wrong, and yet so right. XD
See you later, and please, please, PLEASE, if you're American, get out and vote tomorrow! It's only the next four years of your life at stake, you know.
