HONESTY MEME
i've always wanted to tell you...
my thread
* Not much has happened over break; Thanksgiving was rather quiet and uneventful (only my grandmother on my dad's side came to visit), and most of my break was spent reading Avatar AU fic I found out about through TV Tropes (most of which was very good), listening to quite a bit of post-punk (and looking to listen to more such bands other than the well-known ones I listen to), and watching Code 46 (a movie I highly recommend if you like realistic dystopian sci-fi stories -- though the link to Wikipedia I just gave has MASSIVE spoilers, so watch out).
There really isn't much else to say, except that as much as I'd like for these posts to be more than just the RL recounts I've been writing lately, I really haven't been in the mindspace over the past few weeks to do anything more. I know almost all of you reading this don't care one way or another, but it's been kinda bothering me lately, and I just wanted to get that off my chest. ^_^;
I'm really not looking forward to this week, mostly because of my GIS project; it won't be too much work, but I'm not looking forward to interviewing more people, plus learning how to create a poster using software I'm not at all familiar with, all by next Monday. :/ It definitely won't be as bad as it sounds (it's the only big thing I have to worry about right now), but it frustrates me that I won't really be able to get started on it until Tuesday night (which is probably for the best, considering how sleep-deprived and unadjusted I'm feeling right now). *sigh* Just two more weeks, and I'll be fine until February. ;-)
* Oh yeah, I kinda really want to see The King's Speech. I've been reading a lot of reviews about it lately, and it seems the people making it were able to make what sounds like a boring premise into something fascinating and poignant, and apparently Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush do a really good job in it. Too bad I probably won't be able to see it for a couple of months yet. :(
So, how's everyone else's week/weekend been?
