(no subject)

Today wasn't all that great of a day -- we got our first snow/freezing rain of the season today (not much actually fell, but it was enough to make things slippery), the high winds knocked out power throughout campus for a good part of this morning, and I'm not looking forward to geology lab tomorrow/today as a result.  And I have to pick classes for my very last semester on Wednesday morning -- I've narrowed it down to seven, but it's so, so hard to choose from them.  :PPP

But today was a great day -- you know why?  I got my GIS project back today.....and I got a really good grade on it.  Like, far better than I was anticipating.  Even better than some of the people who I was sure would do better than me.  Yeah.  I really don't know how that happened, but I'm happy about it all the same.  XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD  (Of course, meditation and the realization this week really won't be stressful after all has helped significantly too.  ^_^;)

Plus, I've seen two movies recently: The Kids Are All Right and (finally!) Four Lions.  Both movies are excellent, and I highly recommend them.  The Kids Are All Right has some, shall we say, interesting depictions of sexuality, and I'd love to discuss those with anyone else who's seen it.  And I strongly rec Four Lions in particular, because it was everything I was hoping it would be and more -- it's absolutely mind-blowingly hilarious, and even though it's filled to the brim with gallows humor, it's done really really well, and you should totally see it right now.  8D
