Jul. 12th, 2010 12:28 amUgh, I really don't want to go to work tomorrow, even though the only real reason why is that I won't get to stay up late and do what I want to do. Blegh. :PPP Oh well, I still think I can get away with a little bit of lateness, even if it turns out to be a huge mistake and I'm tired and groggy for most of the day. Since when did I ever get to be so irresponsible? 8D
It doesn't help that I've been in a huge funk this past weekend, and no progress has been made on my driving (if I don't at least test for my license within the next month and a half, I'll be kicking myself in the ass over it for the next year) or trying to find a shrink (if I don't at least get my foot in the door within the next month and a half, I'll have to see what I can do to make arrangements with the college counseling center). And having read this again, which I wrote back in December 2008, has really been making me want to write again, on top of all that, and it's just.........ugh, I don't know. :/
I did, however, finish reading White Like Me and, well..........you know the feeling you get after reading a really good book where you're like, "There is no way possible that I can ever read another book again, it just blew my mind that much"? Yeah, I totally got that feeling after I put that down. I might have to write a review, because there was a lot going through my mind reading it and I think I need to get it all down.
In the meantime, I'm looking for something else to read, but I have 141 books on my to-read list right now, and I need help picking the next one(s). So f-list, please help me! Which book(s) from that list should I read next? Or is there anything similar to those books, or the books I've already read, that you'd like to recommend that I'm totally skipping over somehow? Please let me know -- I need to get back into the habit of reading. Especially when there's downtime at work. ;-)
