Writer's Block: Don't tease me bro!

It depends on the person -- if someone doesn't mind and/or actually enjoys being pranked, for example, then it's fine, but if they don't, then you've gone too far. As for me, I don't like being pranked at all, and I generally don't like being teased or kidded around unless a.) I'm in the right mood for it, and/or b.) it's with people I've known for a while and/or people I can trust. I tend to be a very literal-minded person, and often to a lot of people I come across as an overly serious, stick-up-the-ass kind of guy. I can be like that sometimes, but most of the time I just have a different sense of humor, and a different way of expressing it, than most other people. And sometimes this means that whenever I think teasing has gone too far or is otherwise kinda tasteless, I get dismissed as "taking things too seriously" or whatever. I don't know why some people find it so hard to understand that not everyone can appreciate their sense of humor, and that they should respect other people's limits (which isn't nearly the same thing as actively changing their sense of humor just because some people might not like it, which is flat-out unreasonable).
I've certainly been guilty of making tasteless jokes; whenever I'm with people whose sense(s) of humor I absolutely loathe, I have a tendency to try to joke along with them in that style, but wrap it up with the frustration, anger, jealousy, etc. that comes from wanting to be part of a group/conversation but not exactly liking how the people in it are interacting. Basically, I express my anger and frustration but disguise it as a joke. If this lasts too long, eventually I start getting exceedingly angry and/or uncomfortable for no reason whatsoever, and I end up pissing people off. It's something I'm trying to work on, though -- nothing really sucks like alienating people, especially people you want to like or know better. :/
