So, I'm finally back home!! :D Of course, I've been home since about 8 PM, and I've only been online for the past couple of hours and getting to this now, but better now than later, I guess. :P

I'm definitely glad to be home -- after feeling extremely morose on Monday, I'm hoping a change of scenery will do me some good after 11.5 weeks of stress, angst, and other fun college-related stuff. It's still scenery I'm familiar with, of course, but my dad has a new car now and there are new blinds in the kitchen (which is more of a throw-off than you'd think, considering we had the same old curtains since I was born, and curtains in the kitchen tend to stand out big time) and we're starting to see some autumn and Christmas decorations up already, so things aren't as familiar as they were when I last left here. Oh yes, and my sister is currently at the point in her life where it's cool to hate everything and scream at your parents and go "goth," so there's that too. XP (Isn't it sad that some people never grow out of the hating-everything phase?)

While the only good thing to happen on Monday was being able to eat Animal Crackers for the first time in a LONG time (and in stats class too -- it was an exercise involving hypothesis testing, trufax!), today (yesterday?) was generally pretty awesome. This morning I finally got my haircut in town, and then I bought a blueberry scone in a nearby bakery because, well, the dining halls had stopped serving hot breakfast long before and dining hall food has gone downhill lately and I was in town so I might as well, and it was absolutely delicious. XD (I was thinking about getting a croissant too, but I didn't have enough money in my wallet and they didn't take debit cards. How embarrassing. ^_^; )

After Japanese class I found out my mom was waiting for me outside my dorm; usually it's my dad picking me up, but we all wanted me to leave early even though my dad can't take the time off because he's still new at his job, so my mom had to come see me again, this time alone. I kept her waiting for about an hour while I was packing (LOL); when we brought everything down to the car we went to town to have lunch (we had the smoked pork sandwiches, put in hollowed-out baguettes, before, but we had them again because they were just that mind-blowing, and OMG BEST ONION RINGS EVER :DDDDDDDD), and then we went on our way. At the halfway point we stopped off here like we normally do; we got our usual iced tea from a hard-to-find brand, chocolate covered raisins (absolutely and utterly amazing, even if they are pricey), Golden Caramel Corn Nuggets (what Corn Pops would be if they were a snack and were homemade), real chocolate fudge, etc. And of course, I tried pretty much all the samples of cheeses, sausages, and condiments (the ones that weren't spicy, that is....XD). It can be cool to walk around there, but for every cool thing there there's a million other things that are completely kitschy, so I only look forward to going there for the food. ;-)

We hit traffic in Springfield and Hartford, which set us back over a half hour, but the ride was otherwise uneventful. And now I can relax. :D I definitely can't wait until Thanksgiving, and maybe meeting old friends I haven't seen in a while, who knows? And speaking of friends, another awesome thing about today was that the teacher of a creative writing class I took back in 9th grade friended me on Facebook. 8D It's great that I can finally reconnect with her, even though I know she'll scold me if and when I tell her I really haven't been writing at all lately. :P (What's weird, though, is that I had sent her a PM when I first found her on Facebook a couple of years ago, but she didn't reply. Then later on when I was trying to seek her out again, she finally sent me an e-mail; when I replied and told her how my life was going, though, she didn't reply back. So it seems weird that she decided to friend me now -- she must've forgotten I tried to contact her a while back, and today she got curious and somehow found me. Oh well, still good news, what else can I say? XDDDDDDD)

I have so much I want to try to do over the next few days -- preferably read some of the books I brought home, catch up with Enviro Econ readings (pssh, like that's gonna happen), and start watching LoGH and Gundam from the beginning again while catching up on anime club stuff I missed. (I'm thinking about writing reaction posts for both LoGH and Gundam, just so I can keep track of what's going on and put down any thoughts I may have during or after watching episodes that intrigue me for whatever reason -- maybe one post for every 10-11 eps. of LoGH, and one for every 6-7 for Gundam.) But I'll probably just bum around online like I usually do (though maybe not as much, just so that I don't seem that antisocial), and come out of my bedroom only when I have to. Oh well, we'll see. XP

I found this website recently, which is supposed to judge your facial beauty objectively and rate it on a 10-point scale. I took the test twice; I got an 8.08 and a 7.34. Not bad, but could be better I guess, and since we don't know the ~mathematical formulas~ they're using to judge objective beauty it seems like bullshit anyway. :/

I gotta get to bed now -- I promised myself I wouldn't stay up that late while I'm home, and so far I'm failing at doing that. ^_^;
