Sep. 13th, 2009 11:39 pmTo all the new people from the
fandomsecrets friending meme: welcome!!! I've already written an introduction post here, which is a brief overview of who I am and what I like, but also feel free to look at my profile or the rest of my journal as well. As you might tell, I don't have a lot of fandom-related stuff here, and I don't intend this becoming a fandom journal of sorts, but I hope to be more involved in fandom within the next few months. :D
Anyway, I had my first capoeira class today, and it went quite well! Of course, I am entirely bad at this and have a steeper learning curve than most people my age -- here were all these people who are healthy and active (even if they were stumbling with it too), and then there was me, ill-prepared, 110% out of shape, and thin as a toothpick. Oh well. Class is three times a week, 90 minutes each session, so if I put enough practice into it I should get the hang of it after some time. I just need to fight the urge to say, "This is too hard, bleh," and stop after a couple of tries. It felt great to move around like that, and this is the kind of thing I should've been doing a long time ago. :3
And apparently on Wednesday at J-House they're showing the first half of Laputa: Castle in the Sky. SWEET!!! XD
Now to homework. Bleh... -_-
