May. 29th, 2009 01:47 amI finally got myself an account on Delicious, and for the most part I'll share any interesting links I find using that. That doesn't mean that I'm not going to post any links here anymore -- as you'll see, I have a few I'm sharing below. But because I'm probably going to be online a lot between now and early September, I'll probably run across a ton of websites that I want to share with you all, but don't feel are so important that they're worth mentioning here (plus I don't think I want my LJ cluttered with links and little else). I don't have anything on there at the moment, but feel free to check it out anytime, and to add me to your network if you already have an account.
That said, I came across this fascinating op-ed on the New York Times website this morning, about moral psychology and the differences between the values of those who identify as liberal and conservative, a subject which always interests me. It's not the best-written article in the world (and the title is very misleading), and it might reinforce stereotypes about "liberals" and "conservatives," but it's still a fairly thought-provoking read. And one of the links led to YourMorals.org, a website which has a lot of surveys in which you can learn more about your own morals, and how it relates to your personality and political preference. These surveys are being used for research, so you're not going to get results like after you take a quiz at QuizFarm or OKCupid, but interpreting the results aren't that difficult. Yep, my heart is a bleeding one. Like that was any surprise. XD
And because it's technically Friday, this week's song. I didn't really have anything in mind this week, and I've been meaning to post some Tindersticks for a while now, so here is a song by them:
I discovered them not too long ago, after I read a lot of reviews of The National that mentioned them. I don't often go for lounge-y music, but they really breathe life into it. Enjoy! ;-)
