[poem] The Protections

I wrote this poem just now, and I'll be reading it along with other student writers as part of a radio show this evening at our campus radio station! This should definitely be exciting. Sometime in the near future I'll probably be revising this. Or maybe not, seeing as how busy and burned-out I am.
