For the last 6+ years, I've been a maintenance technician at an injection molding factory. It's hard work, but I really enjoy it.
The bad job was actually a transfer at my last job, the bank I'd been at since 2009. The branch I started at closed, so I went to another one nearby(ish), and in early 2014, another branch had a full-time higher-paying position open. However, the manager was known for being, well, horrible to work for. Utterly horrible. And she owned that and talked about how much she'd changed and how everything was going to be different and how much she needed me and like an idiot, I took the position. Within two months, all I wanted was out. I was already back in school for the factory job but I'd promised to stay until ~graduation. Yeah, I got an interview and fled by the end of the year. (Leopards don't change their spots, is all. But I got all enthusiastic and that overrode common sense.)
I mostly miss going out to eat, movies, and seeing the handful of local friends I have. I know it'll all seem normal again once it starts back up, but right now I have a weird dissonance when watching/reading about crowd scenes...
