"A sweet sweet man like me, I can only bring you misery"
1.
jubilee_berry, I got your Christmas card yesterday. Thanks so much!
2. I still don't have Christmas cards out yet, but I'll definitely have them out by the end of the week. Still feeling rather lethargic, and I have zero motivation to write or watch any of the movies or read any of the books I brought home with me. :/
3. That said, the new episode of Pioneer One came out today -- I got really excited because the first episode premiered this summer, and I've been waiting months for this next one! I could try to give a plot description, but I couldn't do it justice without spoiling it -- all I'll say is that it's a sort of sci-fi mystery that's intelligent, beautiful, and well-written. It moves slow and isn't action-oriented, but if you don't mind that I think you'll really enjoy it. It's one of the first shows to be distributed solely by torrent, and considering how good the show is, it's a great testament to using torrents as a viable alternative to TV and other traditional media. You can download the first two episodes here, as well as donate to help production -- if you like what you see, and you want to support this new way of doing things, I highly encourage you to donate, since they still need to work on the last two episodes of the season.
4. Here's another place I'd suggest donating -- Bradley Manning, the Army officer accused of leaking documents about U.S. war crimes to Wikileaks, is being unconstitutionally imprisoned in poor conditions, and needs a solid legal defense.
5. Just found out my Californian cousin got into Emerson College in Boston this fall! So excited for her! :D
6. This post is basically another excuse to post more memes, since I don't feel like doing anything else lately. :PPPP

JANUARY: "Not a very celebratory or "party" song, but in terms of optimism and hope for a new year -- and a new decade -- I can't think of anything more appropriate."
FEBRUARY: "So I tried to get caught up with the 30 days meme today, and I spent many hours trying to put it all together -- only for LJ to eat it up again."
MARCH: "Hello to everyone who friended me recently!"
APRIL: "I FUCKING HATE MY SCHOOL."
MAY: "So when I said in my last entry a few days ago that I was going to have a real update later that day? Yeeeaaaaaaahhhhh, sorry about that."
JUNE: "Hello to everyone from the Durarara friending meme!"
JULY: ""The Last Airbender" is an agonizing experience in every category I can think of and others still waiting to be invented."
AUGUST: "It turns out that I do have work tomorrow and Wednesday, and considering what I'm supposed to be doing, I am definitely not looking forward to it."
SEPTEMBER: "Because I once again have way too many tabs open, and I can't keep them open much longer for obvious reasons, I'm just going to dump them all here."
OCTOBER: "I've had a really shitty past couple of days; I think it mostly has to do with the weather (it rained non-stop Thursday and Friday, and it's starting to get colder too), and the fact that I've feeling like I'm going to come down with something for a while without actually having come down with something."
NOVEMBER: "I'd say TV, without hesitation -- mostly because I've done it before, because here at college, if you don't live in a suite or a house, the only places to watch TV are lounges in the dorms, and you never know if someone else is watching it and you have to wait your turn."
DECEMBER: "Last chance to get a Christmas card if you want one -- I plan on buying the cards hopefully by Monday."
..........This isn't exactly the "year in review" that I hoped, what with lots of pleasantries and very little substance. O_o; Oh well, it was a rather strange year, though I'll probably write further on that as New Year's gets closer.

strawberrymello gave me Kaworu Nagisa (Evangelion), Char Aznable (UC Gundam), and Izaya Orihara (Durarara!!). Here's how I picked -- if you want explanation, feel free to ask:

❝ cerulean. ❞
★ Late-day skies during a New England summer.
★ Blue jays (we tend to see them quite a bit around here).
★ My current default icon. ^_^;
★ Tropical beaches I'd like to visit.
★ Technology.
★ Water Tribe. XD
★ College (even though one of our colors is a darker shade of blue).
★ Cold weather (not necessarily in winter).
★ Enlightenment.
★ Feeling okay -- not ecstatic, not melancholy.

Surprisingly, a lot of the music that came up was oddly appropriate:
1. Apocalypse theme
2. First zombie kill
3. Chased by horde
4. Kill loved one
5. New love interest
6. Last stand
"England" by Working for a Nuclear Free City
(sorry, this song isn't on YouTube for some reason D:)
7. It's all over (?)
8. Getting bit

Go to your Calendar and find the first entry for each month of 2010 (not including memes of course). Post the first line/sentence of it in your journal, and that's your "Year in Review".

1. Comment to this and I will give you 3 fictional fandom characters.
2. Decide of the 3 whom you would marry, do, and dump.
3. Post this meme to your journal with your answers (pictures optional).

Comment that you want to do this meme, and I'll give you a color that I think represents you, and then you list ten things you like in that color or ten things it reminds you of!
